In this documentation,
the term *Directory objects* refers to *LDAP objects* in the *Directory Service*.

*Directory objects* locate in the *Directory Service*.
LDIF, LDAP Data Interchange Format,
is a standard plain text data format for representing directory service content.

In Nubus for Kubernetes, the *UDM Library* converts *Directory objects* to and from :ref:`data-objects-udm`.
