Databases

7.5. Databases#

PostgreSQL is the primary relational database management system used in Nubus for Kubernetes. Nubus requires the use of an external PostgreSQL database management system. For more information about using an external PostgreSQL database, see Use external PostgreSQL database.

Important

For backup consistency, you need to run the database backup at the same time as the backup for Nubus. For the backup of Nubus, see Create a backup.

This section doesn’t describe how to perform a database backup, because it depends on the backup and restore concept you have implemented for your PostgreSQL cluster. However, you need to include the databases in your concept of backup and restore for Nubus. For the list of databases created by Nubus in PostgreSQL, see Define custom database names.
