7. Device Management

Besides user accounts and group management, Nubus also allows to manage devices, such as computers and printers. Device management becomes relevant, if you administer devices in a local network environment and UCS appliance nodes take care of your network infrastructure.

This chapter covers the management modules in the Management UI that locate in the category Devices. It addresses functional administrators that need to manage devices in the Nubus domain, such as UCS appliance nodes in their respective system roles, Microsoft Windows domain controllers and workstations, Ubuntu, Linux, or macOS clients. The device management in the Computers management module focuses on their network settings. The section Computers module provides a reference for the management module.
